Family Programs & Services
Addiction is rightfully called a family disease; the effects of addiction are intense and reach well beyond the addict themselves. Families begin to suffer from the stress, pain and turmoil caused by the powerful disease. By the time many families reach out for help, the disease has progressed to a crisis level. This is why the entire family must participate in the treatment and therapy provided by our addiction recovery center. Silver Linings Recovery Center in Langhorne, PA & East Windsor, NJ offers family programs to educate and support families faced with substance use disorder. Furthermore, these groups provide a safe and confidential place for families to find hope and encouragement for a future free of addiction and pain.
Family Support Therapy
The family therapy offered at Silver Linings Recovery Center is a combination of techniques that involve the patient and their closest loved ones. The goal is to improve communication, reduce stress and conflict, as well as address underlying issues that exist between family members. Therapy sessions are a safe place to express the hurt and pain that has been inflicted on each member involved throughout the years of dealing with addiction.
